Dr. Daniel Burleson, Instructional Associate Professor, University of Houston

Dr. Dan Burleson is an Instructional Associate Professor in the Cullen College of Engineering at the University of Houston. He is the Director for Engineering Student Innovation and Design Experience and Director for the University of Houston Grand Challenge Scholars Program. He has been at the University of Houston since 2010 when he joined as a Graduate Research Assistant, completing his Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering in August of 2015. Before coming to Houston, Texas, Dr. Burleson completed B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Florida.

Bernard Li, ESIDE Assistant Manager, University of Houston

Bernard Li is an undergraduate student from the University of Houston with experience in engineering education. Formerly the Lead Makerspace Technician at the Makerspace@UH Libraries and a former instructor at TX/RX Labs, Bernard has been teaching students the fundamentals of rapid prototyping, electronics, CAD and robotics since 2016. Bernard is the student founder of Robotics@UH, a student organization focused on robotics, and Campus Cats @ UH, a student org dedicated to the protection of campus wildlife. Outside of ESIDE, Bernard runs a startup called Limited Technologies Inc, an aerospace startup.
