Engineering Student Innovation and Design Experience (ESIDE) Program is improving student success and engagement in design by increasing participation from industry and the research community through financial support and mentorship. ESIDE is creating improved pathways and resources for students to pursue multidisciplinary opportunities through project support, dedicated design facilities, and student competitions. These opportunities reflect real world challenges and provide opportunities for students to apply their technical knowledge from relevant course work while developing professional skills related to teamwork, project management, and creative, human-centered design. ESIDE is committed to leveraging the diversity of experience and background of students in the Cullen College of Engineering. By embracing a culture of inclusion around design, all designers and users are respected and celebrated.
